The Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Cincinnati has an opening for a Research Associate position to study transcriptional and epigenetic gene regulation in breast cancer metastasis and therapeutic resistance. The Research Associate will assist with the coordination of laboratory projects and perform independent research studies in investigating the molecular mechanism of breast cancer treatment resistance and the development of RNA nanotherapeutics (https://med.uc.edu/zhanglab). Participate in the development and design of research projects, protocols, and experiments on various topics and make independent and collective contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience.
Essential Functions
- Assist with the coordination of research studies, perform experiments, and record data according to research protocols and in accordance with all institutional and federal regulations.
- Make independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience.
- Interpret data and perform statistical and graphical analysis of data, prepare written summaries of research results in manuscript form for publications/presentations, and assist in grant proposal writings.
- Engage in appropriate training and professional development opportunities and play an active role in seeking career and research advice.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field.
