Job Overview
Lindner Center of HOPE is a nationally renowned psychiatric center of excellence located in Mason, Ohio, committed to providing state of the art care to patients at all levels of care. We continue to expand our services and are looking for a Telehealth Outpatient Therapist (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or Licensed Independent Social Worker) to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work with other very talented psychiatrists and health care professionals in a variety of psychiatric specialties. LCOH is part of the UC Health network and is affiliated with the Mayo Clinic.
The Telehealth Outpatient Therapist will conduct psychosocial assessments via 100% Telehealth; provide individual, group and/or family therapy. The Outpatient Therapist will work with Lindner Center of HOPE, psychologists, advanced practice nurses, and psychiatrists to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Essential Functions
- Perform psychosocial assessments for patients and/or families.
- Formulate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with Lindner Center of HOPE social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other treatment team members.
- Maintain knowledge of external resources for patient needs.
- Ensure patient care documentation is timely, legible, and efficient. Ensure documentation is concise, pertinent and meets the professions and departments documentation standards. Ensure oral reporting is clear, concise, relevant, and timely. Perform all required documentation accurately and within expected time.
- Liaison with community agencies; participate in area activities related to mental health.
- Maintain current licensure and participate in continuing education to maintain age specific competencies and competencies in area of practice.
- Participate in departmental and LCOH quality improvement efforts and ensure peer review standards are met.
- Participate in community education and outreach.
Minimum Requirements
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor:
- Master’s Degree.
- State of Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Licensed Independent Social Worker:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work.
- State of Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Doctorate Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
- Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervision designation (LISW-S).
- Professional Clinical Counselor with supervision designation (LPCC-S).
- At least 5 years’ experience working as a therapist in an outpatient setting is ideal.
- Knowledge of Assessment and Counseling practices and principles.
- Experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is ideal.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and work with others to insure the best clinical outcome for patients and families.
- Ability to enthusiastically follow and model the Lindner Center of HOPE mission, vision, and values.
